We recently started fleshing out a conference planning tool during a Barcamp event in Tampa.

Some thoughts on good things to add.

Conference ratings,
conference #CCT1 (codecamptampa1) with pulls from twitter,
"calendar generator," pick all the talks you want to attend drag them on to a page and add to calendar,

forgot, using conference.com/#2009/CodeCampTampa/Room1/Prototyping-by-Bob as a methodology within silverlight of creating a master event planner for multiple events and years

any other thoughts?

All these are very good ideas.

I had it already planned to add the "calendar generator" as part of the registration confirmation, but i like the suggestion to make it available to the attendees by default.

Thanks for sharing, keep the suggestions coming!

except the silverlight part, lol

The plan is to support multiple events and optional custom skinning per event, but in order to have more realistic deliverable time lines we won't have this available in the first few releases. The model and database architecture will be done accordingly but we'll implement it to the presentation and admin tools later.
